Naproxen (Aleve, Anaprox DS, Naprosyn) is often prescribed for people who have joint pain, swelling, and certain forms of arthritis, such as ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to treat menstrual pain and other symptoms.

SUMATRIPTAN | Price from £15
Sumatriptan is a medicine to treat migraines and cluster headaches. It does not prevent these conditions.
It belongs to a group of medicines called triptans, or serotonin (5-HT1) agonists.
You take sumatriptan once a migraine or cluster headache has started. It is not a painkiller but you can use this medicine if painkillers or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have not worked.

UNIROID HC CREAM AND SUPPOSITORIES | Price from £15
Uniroid-HC Ointment is indicated primarily for the treatment of external haemorrhoids for the short term relief of pain, irritation and associated pruritus ani. Uniroid-HC Ointment can also be used for internal haemorrhoids.
Hydrocortisone treatments for piles come as creams, ointments and suppositories. You can buy some smaller sizes from a pharmacy, but others are only available on prescription. Some of these medicines also contain local anaesthetics and other medicines to soothe the symptoms.

The brand name for dexamethasone with antibacterial ear spray is Otomize®. It contains several ingredients - dexamethasone, neomycin and acetic acid. Together, these ingredients relieve inflammation, infection, itching and pain. Otomize® spray is only available on prescription. It can be prescribed for adults and for children over 2 years of age.

PENICILIN / CLARITHROMYCIN | Price from £15*
Penicillins (such as penicillin, amoxicillin, co-amoxiclav, flucloxacillin and phenoxymethylpenicillin) – widely used to treat a variety of infections, including skin infections, chest infections and urinary tract infections.
Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It can be taken by people who are allergic to penicillin.
